Reliance Jio to connect 2385 Govt schools and colleges in Uttarakhand


Reliance Jio has announced that in the next two years it will connect most of the 2,385-plus government schools and colleges with high-speed Internet in Uttarakhand to make the State a ‘Digital Devbhoomi.’ Ambani also said that Jio will promote environment protecting industries and businesses.

Hospitality firm OYO said it will invest ₹500 crore in building hospitality ecosystem in Uttarakhand to boost the tourism potential of the State. OYO said it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Uttarakhand government and it will be expanding its chain in the region by adding over 35,000 rooms in cities.

Furthermore, ITC said that the company has already invested an outlay of ₹1,400 crore and is looking to scale up, given the future potential of the State. Reliance currently has over 100 retail stores and is planning to continue to grow these at a healthy rate.
