Nokia Networks bags 4-year 3G contract from Airtel for 5 new circles
Nokia Networks has announced that it has grabbed a 3G contract from Airtel to roll out 3G network in 5 new circles and network expansion in 3 existing circles. Under the 4-year contract, the company will provide its radio elements and services expertise to power Bharti Airtel’s infrastructure.

Airtel has announced that it has become third largest mobile operator in the world in terms on subscribers, based on the latest ranking from World Cellular Information Service (WCIS). China Mobile is the top mobile operator in the world with over 626 million customers followed by Vodafone Group with over 403 million customers. Airtel is launching 4G services in Delhi and NCR this week
India’s leading private telecom operator Airtel is all set to launch 4G trials in the country’s capital city New Delhi and adjoining areas later this week. Airtel bought the spectrum from Qualcomm some time back. The 4G network is expected to go live in New Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) in a few days.
