Airtel Payment Bank has tied up with Empays, a global provider of cloud based payment solutions that lets you make card-less cash withdrawals at over 100,000 ATMs across India using its technology called IMT (Instant Money Transfer). Following the launch in Mumbai, Airtel recently launched VoLTE services across rest of Maharashtra & Goa. With this option, now Airtel users can enjoy HD quality voice calls with faster call set up time compared to normal voice calls on their VoLTE-compatible 4G handsets. Airtel is offering free Netflix subscription for 3 months to select Postpaid and Home Broadband users
Airtel has expanded its partnership with Netflix in India under which subscribers of select Airtel Postpaid and V-Fiber Home Broadband plans will receive a three-month gift of a Netflix subscription. Post that they can pay the Netflix subscription seamlessly, using their Airtel postpaid or home broadband bill. Existing Netflix subscribers will also be eligible for this gift. Subscribers not eligible for the gift will be able to sign up to Netflix through Airtel’s apps and pay for their subscription using their Airtel bill. Airtel to deploy 4400 new mobile sites, 1500 kms of additional optic fiber in Odisha
After Kerala, Mumbai, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and West Bengal, Airtel has announced massive network expansion in Odisha as part of its network transformation initiative – Project Leap. During the FY 18-19, Airtel plans to roll out 4,400 new mobile sites taking the total number of sites to 15,600 along with an addition of more than 1,500 kilometers of optic fiber, taking the total footprint to 9,500 kms to enable high speed data transmission.
