We managed to get hold of a IDEA 3G connection as the operator has silently rolled out 3G services in Chennai and Tamil Nadu. As you all might know , IDEA does not have a license in this circle and has inked a deal with Vodafone to offer 3G services here. Our test device was the ultra fast HTC Flyer which supports HSPA networks upto 14.4 Mbps. Motorola India has officially announced that the Indian Motorola Xoom owners will get Android 3.1 Over the Air (OTA) update on 29th July 2011. Beetel, a part of the Bharti Group, will soon launch its first tablet device, the Beetel Magiq in India. This tablet runs on the Android 2.2 (Froyo) Operating System and it seems to be a rebranded version of Huawei SmaKit S7.
Almost all the major handset manufacturers are entering into the tablet market. Even Micromax and Maxx mobiles are planning to launch their tablet in India. Beetel, a part of the Bharti Group, will soon launch its first tablet device, the Beetel Magiq in India. This tablet was recently listed at Sagar Telecom, an unknown online retailer in India, but the page was later removed. This tablet runs on the Android 2.2 (Froyo) Operating System and it seems to be a rebranded version of Huawei SmaKit S7.
