Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 4 smartphone in China last month, but the company did not introduce the Redmi 4 smartphone at the event, as expected. Xiaomi has announced Mi Pay, NFC-based mobile payment service in China, in partnership with China UnionPay, one of the world’s largest payment networks. Mi Pay supports debit and credit cards from 20 banks from 12 banks and also public transportation cards from six cities across China. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Huami has introduced its new Amazfit smartwatch in China. It has a 1.34-inch (320 x 300 pixels) circular display with scratch-resistant ceramic bezel and 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It has replaceable standard 22mm wristband and comes with IP67 ratings for water resistance. It also has GPS + GLONASS support. It also has a heart rate sensor on the back for real time heart rate measurement and syncs to phone over Bluetooth.

Xiaomi just announced Redmi Note 4, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series at an event in China. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 SoC and runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) to focus in just 0.3 seconds, comes with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Xiaomi introduced MIUI 8 at global launch event in June and rolled out MIUI 8 global beta ROM for Redmi Note (3G and 4G), Redmi Note Prime, Redmi 2 and Mi Max (32GB) smartphones last month. Now the company has confirmed that it will roll out the stable ROM for Redmi 1S, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G starting from August 23rd. We had unboxed the Xiaomi Redmi 3S prime smartphone last month and also reviewed the smartphone recently. Even though it released only one variant of the Redmi 3S smartphone in China, which is called the Redmi 3S Prime in India, it also launched the Redmi 3S with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and without a fingerprint sensor at Rs. 6999.
