Xiaomi under its sub-brand Mi Ecosystem, which is also known as MIJIA has scheduled an event on December 12th to introduce a new gadget, which could be the company’s first electric car or an electric bike. The teaser has car tire mark, which confirms it’s a vehicle. Text in the teaser says that it will have E-ABS anti-lock braking system, brake energy recovery, cruise control, perforated brake discs and one-piece die cast motors. Xiaomi smartphone sales cross 2 million in Q3 2016 in India, over 150% growth YoY

Xiaomi India today announced that it has sold over 2 million smartphones in the country in the third quarter of 2016 for the first time. This is over 150% growth compared to the same quarter (Q3 2015) last year, said the company. Last week the company said that it had sold 1 million units of Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime smartphones in just 3 months after launch in India on Flipkart. Xiaomi Mi 5c, successor of last year’s Mi 4c codenamed Meri surfaced in live images recently. Geekbench listing revealed Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with MIUI 8, 3GB of RAM and an unknown 2.2GHz Octa-Core processor with Mali-T860 MP4 GPU, now more specifications have surfaced that reveals 64GB of internal storage, 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Xiaomi Mi 5c surfaces in more live images, shows fingerprint sensor

Xiaomi Mi 5c, successor of last year’s Mi 4c has surfaced in live images in China. This coincides with earlier leaks that showed a fignerprint sensor on the front. The smartphone codenamed Meri that recently surfaced on Geekbench listing revealed Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with MIUI 8, 3GB of RAM and an unknown 2.2GHz Octa-Core processor with Mali-T860 MP4, which could be Helio P15 that was seen in Moto M. Some rumors say it could use Xiaomi own Pine core processor.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime, budget 4G smartphones with metal body in India back in August on Mi.com and Flipkart starting at Rs. 6999. Today Flipkart announced that it has sold over 1 million or 10 lakh units of these phones within 3 months of launch. Xiaomi recently said that it sold more than 2.3 million or 23 lakh units of Redmi Note 3 smartphones in India till September. Xiaomi conducts China’s marathon 24-hour online sales event on Singles Day that falls on November 11th every year in cooperation with Tmall, the largest online marketplace in China. Last year it made US$196 million (RMB 1.25 billion). This year Xiaomi has announced that it made $189.9 million (RMB 1.295 billion) on Tmall in 23 hours 20 minutes, which is slightly more than last year’s sales.
