Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, the first PlayStation certified phone would be available on AT&T in US from September 18th for $49.99 under 2 year contract. This would run on AT&T’s high speed HSPA+ network and the phone is called as Xperia PLAY 4G. AT&T announced in July they would launch the phone soon. Sony Ericsson has announced their new Xperia arc Android smartphone. This has been upgraded from their previous Xperia arc and they claim that this has 25% faster camera start up and 20% faster web page rendering compared to Xperia arc. This runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and the it is powered by 1.4Ghz processor. It has 4.2 inch Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and 8 MP camera with Exmor R image sensor. Sony Ericsson has announced two new phones, Xperia ray and Xperia active in India. The Xperia ray is sleek phone and Xperia Active is sporty phone that is dust proof and water resistant. SE Live with Walkman handset announced
Following in the footsteps of the Sony Ericsson W8 , the company has just unveiled a new budget Android based Walkman handset. The phone is powered by a 1Ghz processor with a 320MB of RAM. The screen is 3.2″ with the same disappointing HVGA resolution as the W8. The OS running the show here is Gingerbread along with the custom SE UI layer on top.

Yesterday, we posted that, Sony Ericsson has officially confirmed that, the Android 2.3 update would come this week. And now, the company has kept their promise and finally rolled out the Gingerbread update.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is the company’s most popular Android smartphone. It was originally launched with the Android 1.6 (Donut) Operating system, later it was updated to Android 2.1 (Eclair).
