Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY coming to AT&T on September 18 for $49.99


Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, the first PlayStation certified phone would be available on AT&T in US from September 18th for $49.99 under 2 year contract. This would run on AT&T’s high speed HSPA+ network and the phone is called as Xperia PLAY 4G. AT&T announced in July they would launch the phone soon. It has Facebook Inside Xperia, a suite of Facebook functions integrated into phone book, Music player and gallery. Sony Ericsson announces Xperia arc S, coming in Q4

Sony Ericsson has announced their new Xperia arc Android smartphone. This has been upgraded from their previous Xperia arc and they claim that this has 25% faster camera start up and 20% faster web page rendering compared to Xperia arc. This runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and the it is powered by 1.4Ghz processor. It has 4.2 inch Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and 8 MP camera with Exmor R image sensor. Sony Ericsson Xperia ray and Xperia active coming soon to India


Sony Ericsson has announced two new phones, Xperia ray and Xperia active in India. The Xperia ray is sleek phone and Xperia Active is sporty phone that is dust proof and water resistant. Both these phones run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and features 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 processor. These phones were announced in CommunicAsia 2011 at Singapore. Back in 2005 , Sony Ericsson launched a line of Walkman branded cellphones. The W550i and W800i were to make up for the shrinking market share of Sony’s Walkman line of music players.

Extremely popular and bundled with great earphones , the Walkman series of phones became well known for their superior audio quality. SE Live with Walkman handset announced

Following in the footsteps of the Sony Ericsson W8 , the company has just unveiled a new budget Android based Walkman handset. The phone is powered by a 1Ghz processor with a 320MB of RAM. The screen is 3.2″ with the same disappointing HVGA resolution as the W8. The OS running the show here is Gingerbread along with the custom SE UI layer on top.

Sony Ericsson has announced that they have made limited time agreement with EA Mobile to offer FIFA 12 game optimized for Xperia PLAY. This would offer the Xperia PLAY owners to experience the FIFA 12 exclusively, before it comes to the Android Market. They launched Battlefield: Bad Company 2 last month.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Finally Gets The Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update

Yesterday, we posted that, Sony Ericsson has officially confirmed that, the Android 2.3 update would come this week. And now, the company has kept their promise and finally rolled out the Gingerbread update.

 

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is the company’s most popular Android smartphone. It was originally launched with the Android 1.6 (Donut) Operating system, later it was updated to Android 2.1 (Eclair). Earlier this year, Sony Ericsson announced that, the company will skip the Froyo update and it will finally roll out the much-awaited Android Gingerbread update during the Q3 of 2011. Sony Ericsson has officially confirmed on their Facebook page that the Xperia X10 Android 2.3 update would come this week. They announced this March that Xperia X10 would get Android 2.3 update in Q2 / early Q3 of 2011. Later they announced that the update would be available in August 2011.
