Samsung launched Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in India yesterday for Rs. 57900 and Rs. 64900, respectively. We already brought you the unboxing of the Galaxy S8, here we have the benchmarks. The Samsung Galaxy S8 that has launched in India is powered by an Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor that has four of the company’s 2nd generation custom designed CPU cores clocked at up to 2.5GHz per core and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 1.7GHz per core. It uses big.LITTLE architecture similar to earlier Samsung’s high-end SoCs. It has 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and packs a Mali-G71 MP20 GPU.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 tipped to feature 6.4-inch display and dual cameras

Samsung will include a dual camera setup to its next flagship Galaxy Note 8 similar to the iPhone 7+, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. Kuo says the dual rear camera on the Note 8 could be the most significant design difference from the S8 and larger Galaxy S8 Plus.

Samsung has finally started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge devices India, few months after rolling out the update for the S7 and S7 edge smartphones in the country. Even the Galaxy Note5 got the Nougat update recently. The update brings several UX and performance fixes, including improvements to notifications, multi-window mode and enhancements to the system upgrade and app installation process. Samsung just launched its flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in India, as it had promised. These phones were announced last month and pack a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Quad HD+ infinity screen, both with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and the back. These also have Iris scanner on the front, on the back there is a fingerprint sensor as well as heart rate monitor. Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ Bixby button remapping being removed confirms company representative

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones have a dedicated button on the left side to launch Bixby, the company’s dedicated assistant. Even though the company already confirmed that Bixby Voice assistant will not be available at the launch, it will have Bixby Vision, Home and Reminder features. Even though Samsung doesn’t allow remapping the dedicated button to launch other apps such as Google Assistant, some third-party apps like All in one Gestures that is available for free could do this. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ teased on Flipkart ahead of launch on April 19

Samsung already confirmed that it will launch its flagship  Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in India on April 19th. Now Flipkart has a separate Samsung Galaxy S8 Store that hints that it might go on pre-order through the online retailer on the same day, before it goes on sale in the country. There is no #OnlyOnFlipkart exclusive tag so other online retailers such as Amazon.in could sell the smartphone soon, but they are yet to post teasers. Samsung’s Bixby Voice assistant on Galaxy S8, S8+ will not debut at global launch on April 21

Samsung today launched Galaxy C7 Pro (SM-C7010), successor of the Galaxy C7 in the Galaxy ‘C Series’ in India. It was announced in China earlier this year, and packs a a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 626 14nm SoC, runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with Samsung’s own UI on top, has a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
