Samsung just launched the Galaxy A70, the company’s latest A-Series smartphone in India, after it was introduced last month. It has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with 20: 9 aspect ratio, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 675 SoC. It has 6GB of RAM, runs Android Pie with Samsung One UI, features a 32-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, secondary 5-megapixel camera for portrait shots and an 8-megapixel 123° ultra wide-angle lens. Samsung Galaxy A70 launching in India next week, Galaxy A80 in May, pricing hinted

Samsung has been teasing the Galaxy A70 launch in India since last week, after it was introduced last month. Latest report has revealed that the phone will be priced between Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000. It was introduced in Russia for 29,990 rubles (US$ 466 / Rs. 32,100 approx.). According to the listing, the company will launch 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version in India.

Samsung completes development of EUV-based 5nm FinFET process technology

Samsung has announced that its has completed development of 5-nanometer (nm) FinFET process technology. This comes after it announced the readiness and its initial production of 7nm process, its first process node with EUV lithography technology in October. It provided commercial samples of the industry’s first EUV-based new products and started mass production of 7nm process early this year. Samsung earnings guidance reveals 60% YoY profit drop in Q1 2019

Samsung today reported earnings guidance for the first quarter of 2019. After posting 28.7% decrease in profit in Q4 2018 due to weak chip and phone sales, the company said that it would improve sales and business performance this year. Earnings guidance released today reveals 6.2 trillion Korean won ($5.5 billion) operating profit for the quarter, down 60.2% from the 15.64 trillion won profit in the first quarter of 2018.

Samsung posts Galaxy Fold’s folding test video, says it can outlast 200,000 folds and unfolds

Samsung introduced its first Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone last month and said that it will be available in April in Europe, UK and the US. The company at the launch event said that the phone uses new polymer layer that makes Galaxy Fold flexible and tough, built to last, and the hinge with multiple interlocking gears housed in a hidden enclosure offers a seamless closing and opening.
