POCO just launched the POCO X2, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone as it had promised. This is a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 4G which was launched in China back in December last year. It packs a 6.67-inch Full HD+ “Reality Flow” 120Hz LCD screen with 4.38mm, dual-punch-hole screen with 91% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to 4.25mm ultra-narrow bottom frame, is powered by Snapdragon 730G with up to 8GB of RAM, has  liquid cooling, and runs Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top. POCO X2 with 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor, liquid cooling launching in India on February 4 on Flipkart [Update: 120Hz refresh rate confirmed]

A new teaser on Flipkart has confirmed 120Hz refresh rate for the phone. The teaser also confirms side-mounted fingerprint scanner. We can expect more details in the coming days.

POCO will make a comeback as independent brand in India

POCO is the brand that remained in news for the entire 2019 without launching any smartphones, POCO fans kept asking company and company officials about POCO F1 successor. Built on ‘Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.’ mantra, POCO F1 was a hit amongst gamers and power users. Last month, POCOPHONE Global head Alvin tweeted that the users will hear more from POCO in 2020, but later removed the tweet. Xiaomi announces MIUI 11 Global Stable Beta testing for various devices

Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 11 along with Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro back in October in India. The company claims to have rolled out MIUI 11 Global Stable update for as many as 27 devices in just 47 days in a 4-staged rollout schedule. Jai Mani, former Xiaomi Spokesperson back in August 2018 revealed the existence of POCO sub-brand and soon leaks of a new smartphone started popping up. The smartphone launched as the POCO F1 and became the talk of the town because of the insane price-performance proposition. Xiaomi announced MIUI 11 Global earlier this week along with Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro in India, and also shared the 4-phased rollout schedule for various devices. As per the official schedule, the first batch of devices including POCO F1, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, and Redmi Note 7 Pro will receive MIUI 11 Stable update starting 22nd October. How to enable Monochrome mode on Xiaomi smartphones

Google announced the Digital Wellbeing feature last year aimed at being responsible with smartphone usage. Digital Wellbeing helps users understand their smartphone usage better, app usage timers help users limit the usage, visuals detailing how many times the phone was unlocked each day and how many notifications were received. The Wind Down feature limits notifications and also gradually turns the display greyscale, to make it easier on the eyes and to encourage you to unplug.
