Micromax Canvas Knight with Octa-Core processor launching in India soon


Micromax unveiled the Canvas Knight A350 at an event in Russia last month. The company has announced that the smartphone would hit the Indian market soon and has also released a teaser video. The Canvas Knight has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 2 GHz octa-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). LG has finally made the G2 Mini official ahead of Mobile World Congress 2014. It has a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor (Snapdragon 400 or Nvidia Tegra 4i options), and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 3 in 3 new accents – Rose Gold White, Rose Gold Black and Merlot Red back in December. At the Samsung Asia Forum 2014 in Bali, we got to check out the Rose Gold Black Edition of the Note 3. Nokia has finally unveiled their plans for the MWC 2014 next week. It sent out Invites for the event last week. Now the company has posted a large image in green color that indicates the letter X. We already know that Nokia is planning to release the Nokia X phone at the MWC. It was previously called Project Normady. Evleaks already revealed a range of press shots. It recently posted an image of the phone in green color, that matches the teaser. It also revealed the complete specifications of the phone. Microsoft was involved in a Trademark fight over the name “SkyDrive” and it lost. So, they had to rebrand it and from now on, Microsoft’s SkyDrive will be called as “Microsoft OneDrive”. Microsoft’s OneDrive is one among the many cloud storage options offered by big companies of the Internet – Google offers Google Drive, Dropbox, Box and many others.

HTC schedules events in the US and UK on March 25th, HTC One successor expected

HTC has announced two separate events on March 25th, 2014 in the U.S. and UK. The invites doesn’t reveal anything, but the company is likely to unveil the most expected HTC One successor. Most of the specifications of the smartphone had been leaked already. We had also seen some press shots and live images of the upcoming flagship HTC smartphone that reveals dual cameras on the back and on-screen buttons, replacing the hardware touch buttons. HTC One family starts getting Android 4.4 KitKat update in India

HTC One family is a series of three similar looking smartphones that come at different sizes, different specifications and definitely different price points. Samsung confirms Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for 14 Galaxy devices for US

Samsung has finally announced the list of devices that would receive the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update, but this list is only for the U.S. variants. Samsung started rolling out the KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3 last month. The Indian Exynos variant of the Note 3 got the KitKat update by the end of January. LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition Review

LG was responsible for the Nexus 4 and more recently the Nexus 5, and their association with Google continues with the LG G Pad 8.3. The G Pad was originally launched as a premium 8 inch tablet from LG, fully packed with special features added through software but the one we have here is the first tablet to be blessed by Google with a Play Edition, meaning the device will run stock Android without any modifications. Google and OEMs have been pushing out Play Edition devices since last year, for people who want Android, pure. With no bloatware and the latest version of Android, the GPE of the GPad is, in many ways, the Nexus 8 that was never announced. Priced at $349, should one prefer this over the Nexus 7 2013? Intel’s roadmap suggests new smartphone and tablet chips coming during MWC 2014

Intel is the company everybody knew because of processors that still power the everyday PCs and laptops. But the sales of PCs and laptops has been outdone by the sales of smartphones and tablets. People are moving on and portable devices are the new thing. Intel has been producing chips for the smartphones and tablets, but it hasn’t earned much of a consideration from the manufacturers who seem to be more than content with ARM based SoCs. Intel has to fight hard to survive this battle and looks like they are having another go at the smartphone and tablet market in the upcoming MWC 2014.

HTC Desire 8, the company’s upcoming mid-range desire smartphone leaked last week along with specifications. As you can see from the official image with the invite, HTC has confirmed on Weibo that it would be officially unveiled on February 24th in China. Earlier leak revealed that the phone would come with a 5.5-inch display and a 13-megapixel rear camera. New leak popular HTC developer llabtoofer reveals the complete specifications of the smartphone, but the battery capacity is not available yet. Earlier today Samsung launched the Galaxy NotePRO, the company’s latest tablet with a huge 12.2-inch screen in India at a price tag of Rs. 64,900. We got some hands-on time with the tablet at the Samsung Forum 2014 in Bali, where is launched. It comes with a S Pen stylus that docks on the back of the tablet and has a Wacom Digitizer for pressure sensitive input, just like the previous Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. It has a 12.2-inch (2560×1600 pixels) WQXGA display, powered by a Octa-Core Exynos 5 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Samsung’s own Touch Wiz UI on top.
