OnePlus has started rolling out Oxygen OS v2.1.3 OTA update for the OnePlus X smartphone, as it promised couple of weeks back, when it rolled out the OxygenOS 2.1.2 update. This update finally fixes SD card issues, including option to now move apps to and from the SD card, but option to save photos or videos directly to the SD card is not available yet. OnePlus 2 will be available in India without an invite from November 25th to 27th

OnePlus held its first open sale for the OnePlus 2 smartphone in India on October 12th, later it extended the sale by day. Today the company has announced that it will bring back the smartphone on open sale from tomorrow, which will last for three days. The OnePlus 2 went on sale in India back in August for Rs. 24,999 and is currently available for purchase only with invites on Amazon. It recently announced that it will release Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the smartphone soon. OnePlus X Translucent, Clear, Sandstone, Bamboo, Karbon and Silicone cases launched in India, starts at Rs. 499

OnePlus introduced new cases for the OnePlus X smartphone that comes in five versions – Rosewood, Sandstone, Black Apricot, Bamboo and Karbon version, back in October. It also introduced Silicone cases in Black, Blue, Red and White colors at the time. Today the company has launched Sandstone, Bamboo, Karbon and Silicone cases in India, along with new Translucent and Clear cases. These cases are available in India from Amazon.in, but the company did not say when it will launch the remaining two Rosewood and Black Apricot cases in the country. Early buyers of OnePlus 2 in India can now sign up for B2X insurance plans

OnePlus introduced two extended service plans for the OnePlus 2 smartphone in India last month, but the plans had a restriction that they need to be purchased within 30 days and 10 days, respectively after the purchase of the OnePlus 2. OnePlus launched the OnePlus X smartphone in India last month starting at Rs. 16999. The OnePlus Onyx version went on sale in the country last week on Amazon.in for those who have invites. We brought you the review of the smartphone recently, here we have its battery test results. The OnePlus packs a 2525mAh built-in battery, which is less than 3,100 mAh battery on the OnePlus One and 3,300 mAh battery on the OnePlus 2 smartphone. It has a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, is powered by a Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Oxygen OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). Check out the test results below.

OnePlus X Review

The OnePlus X is probably the first time that OnePlus has really deviated from their design language. Yes, the OnePlus 2 was different from the OnePlus One in a few obvious ways but the basic shape, ergonomics etc remained quite similar. While it did feel like an improvement, people could still probably tell that it was a OnePlus device especially when they touched the sandstone back. The OnePlus X on the other hand feels totally new. The design of the OnePlus X has both glass at the front as well as the back on the Onyx version and a Ceramic back on the Ceramic version.

OnePlus launched the OnePlus X smartphone in India last week stating at Rs. 16999, which went on sale today. We already brought you the hands-on impressions, unboxing and camera samples, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974) 28nm HPm Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.27 GHz per core, slightly under-clocked compared to clock speed of 2.46 GHz on the OnePlus One and has Adreno 330 GPU. It comes with a 5-inch (1920 ×1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display, has 3GB RAM and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Oxygen OS 2.1 on top . Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.
