Lenovo to phase out Motorola brand for smartphones

Lenovo which acquired Motorola in 2014 is planning to phase out the Motorola branding from smartphones. Motorola COO Rick Osterloh revealed to CNET that the smartphones will be called as Lenovo phones.

Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OTA update for the Moto X Play smartphone in India. Motorola rolled out the Android Marshmallow update for the Moto X Style in India back in November last year. In an interview last month, Amit Boni, general manager of Motorola India confirmed that Motorola will roll out Marshmallow update for the Moto X Play in India soon.
