LG today announced Tone Platinum (HBS-1100) Bluetooth Stereo headset ahead of next week’s MWC 2016. It has a sleek aluminum finish and ergonomic design. It has been developed in collaboration with Harman/Kardon, similar its Tone Infinim headset. “It has a Balanced Armature design that is usually reserved for high-end wired earphones and offers for minimize distortion,” said LG.

LG X cam with dual rear cameras, X screen with secondary display announced ahead of MWC

LG has announced X cam and X screen smartphones in the new X series, ahead of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. The X cam sports 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel, dual rear cameras and promises one of the most advanced camera experience in a mass-tier smartphone, while the X screen features 1.76-inch ‘Always-on’ second screen, in addition to 4.93-inch HD In-cell Touch display. LG H840 with 5.3-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 652, 3GB RAM surfaces in benchmarks

LG H840, an upcoming smartphone has surfaced on GFXBench, which is rumored to be a lite version of the LG G5. According to the benchmark listing it will come with a 5.3-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD display and will be powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon processor with Adreno 510 GPU, so this will likely be the Snapdragon 652 processor (Quad 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2GHz A53). Spigen officially teases LG G5 case, shows off dual rear cameras and fingerprint sensor

After the LG G5 Rugged Armor case surfaced on Amazon listing few days back, popular case maker Spigen today confirmed it on official channels. The rugged case confirms dual cameras, flash, laser auto focus and fingerprint sensor on the back. Volume rockers have been moved to the left side of the phone, unlike rear buttons on earlier LG G series smartphones.

After Samsung requested to trademark the term ‘Always On Mode‘ at USTPO, likely for the upcoming Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones, LG today confirmed that the company’s flagship G5 smartphone that will be introduced later this month with have an Always On display. LG Q4 2015 profits up 27% YoY, 59.7 million smartphones shipped in 2015

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 14.56 trillion won (US$ 12.57 billion) in Q4 2015, a 3.8% increase compared to the same quarter last year with operating profit of 349 billion won (US$ 301.38 million), up 27% from the same period the previous year. For the whole 2015 operating income was 1.19 trillion won (US$ 1.03 billion), compared to 1.83 trillion (US$ 1.58 billion) in 2014 on revenues of 56.51 trillion won (US$ 48.8 billion), compared with 59.04 trillion won (US$ 50.98 billion) the previous year, mainly due to sluggish global market demand for TVs and softer growth of smartphone market. LG has launched G4 Stylus 3G (H540D), 3G variant of the G4 Stylus that was launched in India last year. The G4 Stylus with 4G support was launched in India for Rs. 24,990 back in July and got a price cut to Rs. 21,000 in August. The 3G variant of the smartphone has a 5.7-inch HD display, runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the 4G variant, but this is powered by a 1.4GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor, instead of Snapdragon 410 SoC and has a 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, laser auto focus, instead of 13-megapixel camera on the 4G variant.
