LG had announced the K7 and K10 smartphones in the K series at CES 2016. The company has now launched the K10 LTE in India for Rs. 13,500 and it is ‘Made in India’. LG K7 LTE and K10 LTE ‘Made in India’ smartphones launched for Rs. 9500 and Rs. 13500

LG today launched K7 LTE and K10 LTE smartphones in India with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) and VoWiFi (Voice Over Wi-Fi) support, as it had promised. These are the first LG smartphones to be made at its Noida plant in India and these were launched launched by telecom and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. LG aims to make 1 million smartphones in its new plant this year. The company said that the VoLTE and VoWiFi features will enable faster transmission of data and voice. Both these smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, run Android 5.1 (Lollipop), come with dual SIM support, have rear mounted power button and volume rockers and feature a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

LG introduces world’s first UHD TV receiver chip

LG has announced that it has developed the world’s first TV built-in receiver chip (LG3307) that enables users to view Ultra HD (UHD) content without a separate set-top box. This is based on next-generation broadcast standard ATSC 3.0 developed by the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) and uses ROUTE (Real⁃Time Object Delivery over Unidirectional Transport) protocol. LG G5 is made of 100% aluminum alloy, not plastic, says LG

After a LG G5 teardown video revealed that the top millimeter of material is plastic, even though the company claims that the smartphone is made of meal. LG has released a statement saying that the phone has 100% aluminum casing with a coating of primer, which provides additional insulation and enhances the surface for a smooth and durable finish.

LG G5 Lite with 5.3-inch QHD display, 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 652 gets certified in China

LG is expected to release a ‘Lite’ version of its flagship G5 smartphone in Latin American markets, now the smartphone has also been certified by TENAA (Via) in China, which will also get the Snapdragon 820 variant. It will also have 3GB of RAM, instead of 4GB of RAM on the G5. According to the listing it will have a 2700mAh battery. Other specifications will be the same. LG G5 global roll out begins March 31, priced at $799.99 in the US

LG already announced that it will launch its flagship G5 smartphone along with the LG Friends companion devices in United States in early April via major carriers and retailers. Today the company has announced that the smartphone will go on sale globally, including Korea starting from March 31st. It will be available from April 1st in the US through a 2-year contract from Sprint or Verizon at $99 and an unlocked unit without contract will cost $799.99 (Rs. 53,275 approx.), according to an ad. LG has officially announced its K8 smartphone, a month after it was listed on its official site. It has also introduced K5 smartphone in the K Series. The K8 packs a 5-inch HD screen with 2.5D curved arc glass, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has 4G LTE support. The K5 packs a 5-inch FWVA screen, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. LG introduces new Stylus 2 with DAB+ for digital radio broadcasting

LG today announced a new Stylus 2 variant as the world’s first smartphone to feature DAB+ for digital radio broadcasting. It has introduced the new smartphone at Radiodays radio conference at Europe 2016 in Paris. LG said that it has collaborated with the International DMB Advancement Group (IDAG) to include DAB+ technology in the new LG Stylus 2.
