LG V20 vs Samsung Galaxy Note7 – What’s Different?
The LG V10 was probably one of the closest competitors to the Samsung Galaxy Note5 as well as the S6 edge+. The Note5 wasn’t made available in every region but at least the S6 edge+ was there to take its place in such regions. The V10 on the other hand too had limited availability but none to take its place. However, this time around, LG seems to be betting hard on the V20 especially since the V10 was received well and the fact that Samsung is still sorting out the battery issues with the Note7. LG has just announced the successor to the V10 which was one of the best smartphones from last year. It also included a couple of industry firsts such as the secondary ticker display, manual video recording etc. So let us take a look at what the V20 brings to the table this time around.
LG V20 with Android 7.0, dual rear cameras, Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM announced
LG just announced V20, the company’s latest top-end smartphone in the ‘V series’ at an event in San Francisco. It has a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Quantum display, a 2.1 second (160 x 1040 pixels) screen, similar to the V10, but this is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with LG UX 5.0+. It is also the first phone to use Google’s In Apps that helps users find content from built-in apps including contacts, emails, text messages and photos and user-installed apps. LG says that that second screen has improved in visibility with double the brightness and 50% larger font size compared to the V10.

LG has introduced Tone Active+ (HBS-A100), its latest Bluetooth Stereo headset and the successor of last year’s Tone Active, ahead of IFA 2016. It has Bluetooth 4.2 with Qualcomm aptX/Qualcomm aptX HD audio codec for 24-bit lossless audio and Digital MEMS microphone for crystal clear call quality. After launching the X screen with dual displays in India last month, LG is all set to launch its X cam with dual rear cameras in India soon. It was announced back in February and started rolling out globally in March. The X cam sports 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel, dual rear cameras capable of capturing at 120-degree wide-angle.
