LG has launched X Power, its latest smartphone in the ‘X series’ in India with support for 4G VoLTE and 4100mAh battery with fast charging technology PE+ that allows to fully charge the phone in just 1.8 hours. It was introduced back in June, has a 5.3-inch HD display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MT6735M processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). LG Q3 2016 profits fall 10.8% YoY, mobile revenue down 23% due to weak G5 sales

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 13.2 trillion won (US$ 11.8 billion) in Q3 that ended September 30, 2016, which is down 5.7% compared to the same quarter last year with operating profit of 283.2 billion won (US$ 252.7 million), down 10.8% from the same period the previous year. Home Appliance & Air Solution business and Home Entertainment posted good performance, which offset sales declines and operating losses from Mobile Communications. The LG V10 was probably one of the closest competitors to the Samsung Galaxy Note5 as well as the S6 edge+. The Note5 wasn’t made available in every region but at least the S6 edge+ was there to take its place in such regions. The V10 on the other hand too had limited availability but none to take its place. LG V20 with Android 7.0, dual rear cameras, Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM announced

LG just announced V20, the company’s latest top-end smartphone in the ‘V series’ at an event in San Francisco. It has a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Quantum display, a 2.1 second (160 x 1040 pixels) screen, similar to the V10, but this is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with LG UX 5.0+. It is also the first phone to use Google’s In Apps that helps users find content from built-in apps including contacts, emails, text messages and photos and user-installed apps. LG says that that second screen has improved in visibility with double the brightness and 50% larger font size compared to the V10.
