After certification, Huawei has officially announced the Y9 2019 smartphone. It has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a narrow chin and high screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Kirin 710 SoC with 6GB of RAM, and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.2, similar to the Honor 8X but this has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth information in portrait shots and a 13-megapixel front camera along with a 2-megapixel front camera for portrait selfies, and both have AI photography features. Huawei is all set to introduce its flagship Mate 20 series of smartphones that includes the Mate 20 Pro with triple rear Leica cameras on October 16. Now the press renders of the smartphone has surfaced in Twilight, Blue and Black colors. The phone is also expected to come in Green color variant. This reveals a large notch, compared to the waterdrop notch on the Mate 20, probably to house sensors for 3D face unlock.

A week after the Huawei ARS-AL00 / ARS-TL00, Huawei JKM-AL00 has been certified by TENAA, which is said to be released as Y9 (2019). This reveals a similar design and specifications as the Honor 8X that was introduced earlier this month. This reveals a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with narrow bezels and 91% screen-to-body ratio, 20-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, AI scene recognition, 2-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth information in portrait shots and 16-megapixel front camera.

Huawei has announced Maimang 7, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in China, as it had promised. It was introduced in UK as Mate 20 Lite, packs a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a notch, is powered by Kirin 710 SoC with GPU Turbo, Google AR Core support, 6GB of RAM, has a 20-megapixel rear camera with AI scene recognition along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for portrait shots, comes with a 24-megapixel front camera, HDR Pro, 3D Qmoji and a 2-megapixel secondary camera for portrait selfies. After the phone got certified by TENAA, Huawei has officially confirmed that the Maimang 7 smartphone will be introduced in China on September 12th. It was introduced in UK as Mate 20 Lite in UK a couple of weeks back and has dual front and rear cameras with AI feature than can recognise over 500 scenarios in 22 categories, 480 fps Super Slow Motion, HDR Pro, Studio Lighting and 3D Qmoji.
Huawei is doing some real work this 2018 with a lot of launches across both mid-range and high-end variants. Keeping up the spirit, the company has launched Nova 3 in the Indian market after making it official in China a few weeks back. Huawei at the IFA 2018 last week introduced EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 (Pie) which will be first introduced with the Mate 20 series that will be launched on October 16th. It said that EMUI has 350 million daily active users across 216 countries and regions. The company said that EMUI 9.0 will feature Natural UX design with integration of nature’s sound and color with natural minimalist style, returning to the natural immersive design. Huawei at the IFA 2018 announced that it has sold 10 million units of P20 Pro and P20 smartphones globally in the first five months. It also introduced new variants in the P20 series. It also said that it has shipped over 10 million units in the Mate 10 series.
