HTC just announced its flagship U11 smartphone. It has Edge Sensor for new squeeze interaction that lets you launch the camera, send text messages, open email or customize it to launch any application. It also lets you activate advanced touch and use a “short squeeze” as well as a “squeeze and hold” for even more functionality.

HTC has given its latest flagship phone U Play a major price cut. HTC U Play smartphone was launched in India in February for Rs. 39,990. With the latest price cut, it will now be available for Rs. 29,990. This means, the HTC U Play has received a price cut of Rs. 10,000. HTC today launched Vive VR system in India. This includes wireless VR controllers, room scale movement, and Head Mounted Display featuring a built in camera. “To celebrate Vive’s India launch, Indian consumers can enjoy free shipping when they order Vive from Amazon.in as well as two fully-fledged VR experiences, Everest VR and Richie’s Plank Experience,” said HTC.

HTC just announced that it will introduce a new smartphone on May 16th. The teaser has a caption Squeeze for the brilliant and the video shows a person squeezing the phone hinting at the Edge Sense feature with sensors embedded into the metal frame present around the phone to control a number of different features.

HTC introduced U Ultra and U Play smartphones in the ‘U Series’ earlier this year. Rumors about the flagship HTC U codenamed Ocean surfaced last month. It’s been a while since we saw a compelling flagship from HTC. The HTC 10 Evo launched back a couple of months back wasn’t much of an upgrade over the 10 and offered little reason for users to upgrade. With the U Ultra, the company has adopted a somewhat refreshed design though the device is unmistakably an HTC. HTC just launched its flagship U Ultra smartphone and U Play in India at an event, as it had promised. Both the smartphones was announced last month. The HTC U Ultra comes with a 2-inch 520 PPI secondary touch-screen display above the main 5.7-inch Quad HD display. The U Play has a 5.2-inch 1080p display without a secondary screen and is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, has 16-megapixel front and rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor on the front.

HTC just sent out invites for the launch of its flagship U Ultra smartphone in India on February 21st. It was announced last month and comes with a 2-inch 520 PPI secondary touch-screen display above the main 5.7-inch Quad HD display. It has a glass finish on the front and back, and a metal frame and the rear glass is fully curved at all four edges.
