HTC U announcement set for May 16, expected to pack Snapdragon 835, touch-sensitive frame

HTC just announced that it will introduce a new smartphone on May 16th. The teaser has a caption Squeeze for the brilliant and the video shows a person squeezing the phone hinting at the Edge Sense feature with sensors embedded into the metal frame present around the phone to control a number of different features.

Recent rumor revealed showed the design of the phone with reflective glass back, curved glass on the front and a fingerprint sensor below the display.

  • 16MP front-facing camera with Sony IMX351 sensor

It is an online event that will be streamed live and starts at 2AM New York Time (11:30 AM IST) on May 16 on HTC site.
