HTC has officially announced the consumer edition of Vive VR, its first virtual reality headset at MWC 2016. The company has teamed up with video game developer Valve for the VR headset which uses Valve’s Steam VR technology.

Earlier this month there were rumors about HTC releasing Desire 500 series (codenamed A16) and Desire 800 series (codenamed A56) smartphones at the MWC next week, ahead of the launch of M10 in April. Now @evleaks has posted a press images of the Desire 500 series smartphone, which could be the Desire 530. Back in 2014 HTC confirmed that it is working on a smartwatch and said that it will be announced in early 2015, even some reports said that the smartwatch will be unveiled at the MWC 2015, but it didn’t happen. This is not an official render, but it is a mockup that is created based on ‘insider information’ and also a blurry image shared by @evleaks recently. HTC has launched Desire 626 Dual SIM, a mid-range smartphone in the Desire series in India. Even though it has a 5-inch HD display, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the Desire 626 that was introduced last year, the dual-SIM variant that is launching in India is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752 processor and has 2GB of RAM, instead of Snapdragon 410 SoC and 1GB of RAM. HTC today reported a net loss of NT$ 3.4 billion ($101 million), on revenue of NT$ 25.7 billion ($766 million) for its fiscal 2015 fourth quarter that ended December 31, 2015. This is the third consecutive loss for the company. Even though the operating profit is up 20% quarter-on-quarter, it is down 46% year-on-year. HTC is rumored to introduce it’s flagship One M10 smartphone codenamed ‘Perfume’ with Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM sometime around the MWC 2016 later this month.
