Details of the BlackBerry A10, the company’s upcoming flagship BlackBerry 10 smartphone surfaced last month. Recently the phone was caught in a video that reveled the it might feature a 5-inch display. Now rumored specifications on CrackBerry forums has surfaced. This reveals that the phone would feature a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display, powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon MSM8960 Pro processor and run on BlackBerry OS 10.2. BlackBerry Q5 launched in India for Rs. 24990

BlackBerry has launched the BlackBerry Q5 in India as we reported yesterday. This is the company’s third phone running on BlackBerry 10 OS, and a second phone with a hardware QWERTY keyboard in the OS 10 series. BlackBerry launched the Z10 back in February and the BlackBerry Q10 was launched last month. BlackBerry Q5 launching in India tomorrow

BlackBerry launched the Q10, the first BlackBerry 10 smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard last month at a hefty price tag of Rs. 44,990. The company is all set to launch the Q5, a budget version of the Q10 in India tomorrow, July 16th. The BlackBerry Q5 was announced at the BlackBerry Live event in Orlando last month. It packs a 3.1-inch (720 x 720 pixels) capactive touch screen IPS display at 330 PPI pixel density and has a 35-key QWERTY physical keyboard similar to the Q10. BlackBerry 9720 running BB OS 7.1 surfaces

BlackBerry already said in the conference call during their Q1 earnings that they would release a phone running OS 7 later this year, even though they have moved to the BlackBerry 10. Now a BlackBerry 9720 running BlackBerry OS 7.1 has surfaced on a Thai website that reveals the complete device. BlackBerry OS 10.2 with WiFi Direct, actionable notifications gets leaked

BlackBerry’s upcoming OS 10.2 (build 10.2.0.483) just got revealed over at the CrackBerry forums where a user has posted screenshots from the upcoming update. The screenshots reveal a bunch of new features the most prominent of them being actionable notifications and WiFi Direct. Actionable notifications will allow users to pull down notifications and interact with them directly without having to jump into the application. BlackBerry India has introduced buyback offer for the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone. Recently the company announced EMI schemes for the Z10 and offered gift card for the American Express Card owners buying the Q10. Under this new scheme people can exchange their old phones for a new BlackBerry Z10 BlackBerry Z10 smartphone and avail discount of Rs. 3,000 to 11,000 (Based on the phone). BlackBerry ships 6.8 million smartphones in Q1, Stock down 28%

Blackberry pushed out its quarterly earnings report yesterday and the news is disappointing for the most part. Covering financial quarter 1 for 2014 ie from March to May 2013, the smartphone manufacturer has increased its revenues from $2.8 billion to $3.1 billion. The company has lost a total of $84 million which amounts to about 13 cents per share. Total device shipments were 6.8 million of which just  about 40% were BB10 based devices. BlackBerry PlayBook will not get the BlackBerry 10 update

BlackBerry announced last year that the BlackBerry PlayBook would get the latest BlackBerry 10 update. The company’s CEO Thorsten Heins even confirmed earlier this year at the BlackBerry 10 launch that they plan to upgrade all existing PlayBooks to BlackBerry 10. Now BlackBerry has announced that  it will not be upgrading the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet to BlackBerry 10. The CEO confirmed it in the company’s investor call earlier today. BlackBerry is expected to release the the A10, successor of the Z10 later this year, according to a recent report from CNET. The phone leaked in the BlackBerry 10 roadmap recently under the codename Aristo which is rumored to come with a quad-core processor, run on the updated version of the BlackBerry 10 operating system and come with higher-quality design and build. Launched way back in January after a lukewarm reception for the Waterloo company’s new Blackberry 10 operating system, the Q10’s main aim is to bring the QWERTY keyboard that the company helped popularize, back in vogue, in a touchscreen dominated world. The device was launched after the full touch flagship, the Blackberry Z10, signaling the company’s move to a complete touch experience at its fore, but to keep the fans happy, the Q10 had to release eventually. And yes, it has finally landed in India, with a hefty price tag of Rs. 44,999. It marched into our labs the same day, and here are our first impressions of the device.

BlacBerry has finally launched the BlackBerry Q10, their first BlackBerry 10 smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard in India as we reported recently. It was announced back in January. It comes with a 3.1-inch (720 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED capactive touch screen display at 330 PPI pixel density which is the  largest ever on a BlackBerry QWERTY smartphone.  It has a 35-key QWERTY physical with wider layout and larger sculpted keys. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core  processor, packs a 2GB RAM, 16GB of inbuilt memory and supports microSD cards upto 64 GB.
