Apple has finally started rolling its Self Service Repair programme, after it was announced in November last year. This will provide repair manuals as well as genuine Apple parts and tools to people who want to repair their iPhones themselves via the Apple Self Service Repair Store. This action corresponds with initiatives to broaden access to repairs. Later this year the program will also include manuals, parts, and tools to perform repairs on Mac computers with Apple Silicon. Apple said on Tuesday that it has increased its efforts to incorporate recycled materials into its products, including increased attempts to reuse gold, tungsten, cobalt, and other elements.
