Back in March, Apple officially launched the iPad 2 which is successor to the famous iPad. iPad 2 is an amazing tablet and it’s selling like hot cakes, and fortunately our Varun Krish was lucky to get one (check out the unboxing). iPad 2 is approximately 3 months old and now rumors are on the street that next iPad is coming soon. We recently heard that it will be out in Q4 2011 and it will feature a 5x better display than the current version, and probably it will be Samsung’s AMOLED display. Currently, Apple and Samsung are having some bad days as both recently filed a lawsuit against each other, so let’s see what happens. Apple AppStore hits 15 Billion Downloads as store crosses 425000 apps
Apple today announced that its AppStore has crossed 15 billion downloads. Apple has over 200 million users on the iPhone , iPad and iPod Touch.The AppStore has crossed 425000 apps and there are over 100000 native iPad apps according to company’s claims. iOS developers have been paid 2.5 billion dollars so far by the company.We have to add that the quality of apps offered on the Apple App Store is very good compared to other platforms. If we look back a little into history , the first iPhone which debuted in 2007 never even had the AppsStore. The iPhone 3G was the first to have this functionality and was launched in 2008. 3 years down the the line, the AppStore crosses 15 billion downloads , another feather on the cap and lots of money in the bank for Apple.

Apple orders 15m iPhone 5 units, launch around the corner
We are hearing it from a long time that Apple is planning to launch the next iPhone in September. We also heard that there will be two versions of iPhone and Apple will bring both in September. Now DigiTimes is reporting that Apple has placed an order for 15 million iPhone 5 (may be iPhone 4S too) with a Chinese company known as Pegatron. Looks like Apple is just heating up the mobile phone war in India. After launching the iPhone 4 in India recently , it has now launched the 8GB version of the iPhone 3GS in the country. BGR is reporting that the 3GS has been launched for Rs.19990. Apple has always been blamed for making the iPhone a costly affair in India and look like all that is going to change. Apple fights back! Sues Samsung at home ground, South Korea
The tech industry is heating up with a number of lawsuits between companies and Apple is leading the charge. The Samsung and apple war began just a few months back when Apple sued Samsung for copying the designs of iPhone and iPad, also for the similar app icon designs. Samsung Countersued Apple a week later claiming a patent infringement and also asking to view the iPhone 5 and iPad 3. Just after Apple denied Samsung from viewing the iPhone 5 and iPad 3, Apple decided to attack Samsung by filing a lawsuit at it’s home, South Korea.

Over a million unlocked iPhones currently running on T-Mobile USA
We all know that AT&T will soon be acquiring T-Mobile and Apple has shown no signs of bringing iphone to the latter, but this has not stopped the customer from unlocking the iPhone and using it on T-Mobile. T-Mobile USA today reported that more than a million iPhones are currently active on their network, just ahead of the Pepcom event in NYC.

Customer complains to Competition Commission of India about Apple
Apple is currently being investigated by the Competition Commission of India after a customer complained to the organization under Section 4 of the Competition Act 2002. While this might be some bad news for Apple who might have to answer to Commission, it’s actually a ridiculous complaint and the reporting by PTI is hilarious and innaccurate.
