Google has updated the Google Drive app for Android to version 1.2.182.25 that brings lot of new features including a  new grid view, previews, Document scanning using the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology that lets you scan your receipts, cards etc. and save it as PDF, better Spreadsheet editor, option to download a copy of files and lots more new features. Amazon Appstore for Android v5.0 update brings support 200 countries including India

Amazon has updated their Appstore application for Android to version 5.0 that brings support for nearly 200 countries including India, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa and more. This would now let you download apps from the app store by logging in to the US store using your Indian account. You can also download the free app of the day. Opera 14 for Android out of beta, brings new UI, Off-Road mode and more

Opera 14 for Android is finally out of beta and is available from the Google Play. Opera released the version 14 beta back in March that brought the new WebKit engine replacing Opera’s own Presto engine. The new Opera browser is based on Chromium 26 engine but the  Chromium/Blink-based browser technology is not available yet. Opera says that it would be available in future as they plan to stay closely in sync with the Chromium development cycle with frequent updates. Nokia introduces Smart Camera app on the Lumia 925, coming to Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices

Nokia introduced the Lumia 925 at an event in London just now. At the event Nokia introduced the Smart Camera, a new app that would come pre-loaded on the Lumia 925. Nokia has also announced that the app would also come to select Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices. The Smart Camera lets you shoots a sequence of photos, making it easier to capture great moments, choose your Best Shot or combine the photos into one picture, make a strobe effect to emphasize motion, remove unwanted objects or choose the best faces for great group shots.
