Sony Mobile has released their official Xperia Keyboard on Google Play Store. Google released their stock Google Keyboard on Google Play last year, but it is still not available globally. The Xperia Keyboard is available widely, but it is limited only to Xperia devices running on Android 4.4 (KitKat), says Xperiablog.net. The version of the Xperia Keyboard on Google Play is 6.4.A.0.6, compared to 6.3.A.0.18 available on other Xperia devices running on KitKat. Square Enix has released Hitman GO, a turn-based puzzle game for iPhone and iPad. This is developed by Square Enix Montréal and lets you strategically navigate fixed spaces on a grid to avoid enemies, infiltrate well-guarded locations and take out your target. This includes disguises distractions, sniper rifles and even iconic Silverballers. The game definitely looks promising and interesting. Square Enix has promised to bring the game to Android soon. With an aim to pump up its revenues further, Twitter has introduced app-install ads on its mobile platform. Dubbed as “Mobile App Promotion Suite”, new mobile app promotion suite that will allow advertisers to promote mobile app installs both on and off-Twitter.
Zynga has announced that it is launching the second version of its popular game – FarmVille 2: Country Escape on Android and iOS smartphone platforms. The game is free to download and play, although you can always use money to purchase in game content.

Gameloft has released the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game for Android and iOS devices as it announced last week, but it is not available for Windows Phone devices yet. It revealed that the game would be coming to Windows Phone in the near future, which might be disappointing for Windows Phone users who were expecting the game. The game is compatible with iPad 2 (or later), iPhone 4s (or later), or iPod touch 5th Generation. It also works with most Android smartphones and tablets. Available only in the US, Nearby Feature not only lets you check out nearby friends but also makes it possible to share your exact location with others.

Samsung and Amazon have entered into a partnership to launch Kindle for Samsung, a custom eBook service for Samsung Galaxy devices to offer books, newspapers and magazines, including over 500,000 exclusive titles. Google has released their stock camera app in the Play Store for all the Android devices running on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and later. This has a new interface and adds a lens blur feature like DSLR. Lens Blur lets you change the point or level of focus after the photo is taken. Once the photo is taken using the Lens Blur mode, you can use the depth-of-field slider to give it a bokeh effect. According to new statistics released by App Annie Index, Google’s Play Store exceeded the iOS app store by 45% in total downloads but still lagged behind when it comes to actual revenues. Worldwide, it is clear that Android is dominating the market, with over 80% marketshare, which has led to a surge in downloads from emerging markets like Russia and Brazil, but the downside is that a large number of apps on Android are free or based on the freemium model, which drastically lowers the barrier of entry, keeping the target markets in mind, whereas Apple’s iOS enjoys higher marketshare and install base in developed countries. This news might not surprise you, but head past the break for some more interesting analysis based on the data.
Samsung updated their ChatON messenger app to version 3.5 for Android earlier this month that brought new features. At an event Samsung India has revealed that the ChatON 3.5 would also offer instant message translation between English and Hindi. It also supports 14 Indian languages and has Indianized Anicons or animated icons. It also detailed more feature aimed at Indian users.
