LG G2 Lite and L Prime with Android 4.4 announced

LG has introduced G2 Lite (D295) and L Prime (D337) in Brazil. These new smartphones that are variants of L Fino and L Bello smartphones that were launched in India recently.  The LG G2 Lite has a 4.5-inch WVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. The L Prime has a 5-inch FWVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with premium UX features.

NVIDIA to roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Shield Tablet this November

Now it has announced that the update would be available as early as this November, so we can expect the roll out to begin in the next few weeks. Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 went on sale in India recently. We already brought you the unboxing and the photo gallery of the smartphone. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The phone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and has Adreno 306 GPU. This is one of the first smartphones to launch in India to feature the new budget Snapdragon chip. It has a 1.5GB RAM, 6-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Google releases Android 5.0 Lollipop factory images for Nexus 9 and Nexus Player

Google has released Android 5.0 Lollipop factory images for the Nexus 9 tablet and the Nexus Player Android streaming device. The Android 5.0 binaries are available for the Nexus Player, but it is yet to release binaries for the Nexus 9 tablet  included in the factory images itself. Nexus 6 UK launch on December 1, pre-orders from 18 November

For fans awaiting the launch of the Google Nexus 6 in the UK, the wait is almost over as UK-based online retailer Mobiles.co.uk has announced the handset will launch in the UK on 1 December. As reported by Pocket-Lint, the Nexus 6 will be available to pre-order from 18 November and the retailer says that the handset “should be” from £28 per month. Unfortunately it doesn’t reveal the SIM free price of the handset, rather focusing on the details of the plan which uses the O2 network and offers unlimited minutes, texts and 1GB data each month. Last week Sony released the PS4 Remote Play app on Google Play to support PS4 Remote Play capabilities on the Xperia Z3 series. It said that it would bring PS4 Remote Play features to the Xperia Z2 series including the Xperia Z2 and the Z2 Tablet in the coming weeks. HTC Desires 820s with 1.7GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek SoC announced

HTC has announced the Desire 820s, a variant of the Desire 820 smartphone in China. It uses a 1.7GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek (MT6752 likely) processor instead of Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor in the Desire 820. Other specifications are similar to the Desire 820, including a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with HTC Sense 6 UI on top, 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera and dual-front-facing BoomSound speakers.
