Samsung introduces Smart Bulb with Bluetooth
Samsung already sells LED lighting products in several countries. Today Samsung announced their first Smart Bulb with Bluetooth support. This lets you control 64 bulbs directly from a smartphone or a tablet using an application. It doesn’t need bridge,wireless connection, equipment or any tedious set up, says the company. Samsung Gear Fit launched in India for Rs. 15900
Samsung has launched the Gear Fit in India along with the Galaxy S5, Gear and Gear Neo. Samsung introduced the Gear Fit, the company’s first wearable fitness band at the MWC 2014 last month. The Gear fit has a wide 1.84-inch (432 x 128 pixels) Curved Super AMOLED display. It also has Pedometer, Heart Rate sensor, Accelerometer and Gyro sensors. Samsung Gear and Gear Neo launched in India for Rs. 21900 and Rs. 15900
Samsung has launched the Gear and Gear Neo smartwatches in India along with the Galaxy S5. Samsung unveiled the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit at the MWC 2014 last month. The Gear 2 is the successor of the first Galaxy Gear, that was introduced at the IFA 2013. Unlike the first Android-based Galaxy Gear, this one runs on Tizen OS, optimized for wearable devices. It has the same 1.63 inch (320 x 320 pixels) Super AMOLED display that we had seen on the Gear. It has a 2-megapixel auto focus camera capable of recording 720p HD videos. HTC has announced the a new case called Dot View for the HTC One (M8). It has dot-matrix view on the cover and also protects the phone. Panasonic has unveiled HX-A500 (A500), the company’s first wearable camera with 4K (3820×2160 pixels) video recording at 25fps. It has WiFi and NFC support to connect the camera to a smartphone or tablet so that you can remotely control the video camera and also share images and videos easily. LG introduces Smart Bulb, lets you control it with Android and iOS devices
LG has unveiled its first Smart Bulbs ( B1030EA5L6B and B1050EA5L6B) in Korea. It has built-in Bluetooth 4.0 that lets you connect the bulb to Android (4.3 or later) and iOS (version 6.0 or higher) devices. Once connected, it lets you turn the lights on or off with a single touch, control brightness, slowly turn the lights on when you wake up in the morning and more. Samsung Gear 2 and Gear Fit get priced officially
Samsung unveiled the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit at the MWC 2014 last month. Samsung has revealed the pricing for the Gear 2 and the Gear Fit at an event in Taiwan. Samsung Galaxy Gear got priced at Rs. 22,990 when it launched in India last year. Samsung assured that the successor would be priced reasonably. The Gear 2 has been priced at NT$ 8,990 (Rs. 17,980 approx) and the Gear Fit is priced at NT$ 5,990 (Rs. 11,980 approx). Pricing for the Gear 2 Neo is not available yet.

Samsung Gear 2 variant with SIM card slot for voice calls reportedly in the works
Samsung is planning to launch a variant of its Gear 2 smartwatch capable of making voice calls without connecting to a smartphone, according to a report from Korean Herald. Samsung plans to release the new version of the Gear 2 in Korea in partnership with the local operator SK Telecom. This would have a built-in SIM card or USIM (Universal Subscriber Identity Module) to use it as a standalone mobile device. LG’s G Watch will be Google’s first “Nexus” Smartwatch, powered by Android Wear
Close on the heels of the announcements from Google for Android Wear and Motorola’s Moto 360 Smartwatch, LG has announced that it will actually be making the first smartwatch powered by the new wearables platform. The LG G watch, as it is called, will be the first smartwatch to release to the market, powered by Google’s Android Wear platform. LG and Google have apparently worked on this device together, right from design, just like a Nexus product. The details of the LG G watch have not been revealed yet, but the availability is set to the second quarter of 2014.
