Huawei has launched seven new WiFi Data cards under Laptopi-Fi, Power-Fi and Mobi-Fi categories. The lineup includes, Laptopi-Fi plug-and-play data cards E5220 and E515, Power-Fi data cards, E8231 and E8221, which can work with external power source for connectivity and the Mobi-Fi devices E5220, E5151 and E5730 with built-in battery.
The Huawei Laptopi-Fi datacards, E303FH and E3531 lets you connect upto 5 devices. These also have voice call and SMS capabilities and provide download speed of up to 14.4Mbps and 21.6 Mbps respectively and upload speed of up to 5.76 Mbps.
The Power-Fi data cards, E8231 and E8221 have in-built Wi-Fi module and require a power source connectivity (car charger power mains or laptop) to create a Wi-Fi hotspot. These can connect up to 10 devices at a time. The E8231 offers download speed of up to 21.6 Mbps and the E8221 offers download speed of up to 14.4 Mbps. Both these offer upload speeds of up to 5.76 Mbps.
The Huawei Mobi-Fi devices – E5220, E5151 and E5730 Wi-Fi routers can connect up to 10 devices. These offer up to 21.6 Mbps download speeds. The E5220 and the E5151 WiFi data cards have built-in 1150mAh and 1500mAh battery respectively. Check out our review of the Huawei E5151 Mobile WiFi router. These have Ethernet port too, that allows you to connect a Ethernet cable to use it as a stationary router, offering wireless signal.
The Huawei 5730 mobile WiFi router has a 5200mAh battery to use WiFi on-the-go and offers working time of up to 16 hours and standby time of approximately 500 hours. It is also a power bank that lets users charge their tablets and smartphones as well. Huawei did not reveal the pricing for E5730 yet. Check out the pricing for other data cards.
