After the Lava Z50 launch last week, Nokia 1 becomes the second Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone to launch in India. It was introduced at the MWC last month and packs a 4.5-inch screen, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek SoC, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo), has 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front-facing shooter and supports 4G VoLTE. Since it is an Android Oreo (Go Edition) phone, it has all the Go Edition apps that are slowing making their way offering smooth experience.

Back in December when the Nokia 5 got the Android Oreo beta release, an apk teardown revealed the references to features like the Telephoto, wide-angle features which hinted at the arrival of Nokia 9. Again today a further teardown of APK gives away the references to upcoming Nokia 1, Nokia 4, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 9 devices. HMD Global launched the entry-level Nokia 2 smartphone recently with a 4000mAh battery, but it chose to go with the Snapdragon 212 SoC and 1GB of RAM that doesn’t offer the best performance. Now Eldar Murtazin of Mobile-Review who was once popular for Nokia leaks says that Nokia is planning to introduce Nokia 1, another entry-level Android smartphone next year, but this time it is rumored to partner with Google for the Android Oreo (Go edition) that will be based on Android 8.1 (Oreo).
