Lenovo has announced the S2 Android smartphone at CES 2012. It is powered by 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Lenovo Magic 3.0 UI. Lenovo has announced IdeaTab S2 10, their first tablet that runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 10-inch (1,280 x 800 pixels) LED-backlit , Lenovo Mondrian UI and is powered by 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8960 dual core CPU. It is just 8.69mm thick and weighs 580 grams. Engadget reports that Lenovo will be launching a Quad Core , Tegra 3 based Android tablet by the end of the year. The OS of choice is not spoken about but we wouldn’t be surprised to see Honeycomb finding its place on the tablet with an update to Ice Cream Sandwich following soon.
