realme to launch Smart TVs in India in Q2 2020

Earlier this month realme CEO Francis Wang teased new Smart TVs at its MWC event, but GSMA has cancelled the event, so the company is holding an online event. Today in an interview with Trakin Tech  realme India CEO Madhav Seth said that the company will launch several products including smart speakers in the coming months. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip sold out within minutes in India in first day of pre-booking

Samsung started pre-booking for the Galaxy Z Flip in India priced at Rs. 1,09,999 earlier today on Samsung e-shop and select retail stores. Samsung has announced that it was sold out within minutes after the pre-booking opened at 11AM. Offline retail outlets taking pre-orders have also run out of stock. Users were asked to pay the full amount for orders. Buyers from Samsung e-shop will be offered premium white glove delivery in 10 cities, said the company. Apple may allow third-party apps to be set as default in iPhone soon

Till date, in typical Apple fashion, default apps on their iOS platform have always been locked to Apples own pre-installed offerings like Apple Music and Safari. Now, Apple is apparently discussing bringing the walls down a bit and let third party apps to be set as defaults by users.

Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection arrives for Linux, coming to Android and iOS soon

Microsoft announced Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection for enterprise customers back in 2016. Later in 2018 it announced advanced threat protection (ATP) for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, way before the Windows 7 support ended in January 2020. Today, it has announced public preview of Microsoft Defender ATP for Linux. It supports servers running distributed versions of RHEL 7+, CentOS Linux 7+, Ubuntu 16 LTS, or higher LTS, SLES 12+, Debian 9+ and Oracle EL 7. LG V60 ThinQ with quad rear cameras, 4-channel microphone, 5000mAh battery surfaces [Update: New image]

New press image of the phone has surfaced that shows a familiar design, thinner bezel, water drop notch, dedicated Google Assistant button and volume rockers on the left, power button on the right and a gold frame. It is expected to come with 5G support, powered by Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform, 8GB of RAM. Since there is no MWC, it could be announced as early as next week.

Sony Xperia L4 with 6.2-inch 21:9 display, triple rear cameras announced

Sony Mobile has announced Xperia L4 smartphone, successor of last year’s Xperia L3. The phone packs a 6.2-inch HD+ LCD screen with 21:9 aspect ratio, is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage that is further expandable. It runs on Android Pie with Sony’s custom skin on top. It features triple rear cameras that includes 13-megapixel main, 5-megapixel ultra-wide and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Samsung starts mass production of 7nm and 6nm-based mobile chips at new V1 EUV semiconductor line in Korea

Samsung today announced that it has opened new V1 semiconductor fabrication line in Hwaseong, Korea, dedicated to the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography technology and produces chips using process node of 7 nanometer (nm) and below. It started building it back in February 2018, and began test wafer production in the second half of 2019. Microsoft launches new Office app that combines Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for all iOS and Android users

Microsoft Office is arguably the most powerful suite of applications for the work, home, and school on the PC and Mac. However, they didn’t have much of a presence in the mobile app space. Now Microsoft plans to change that with the launch of the new Office app for both iOS and Android that consolidates Word, Powerpoint and Excel into one app. It was released in beta for Android users back in November last year.
