Last month, Acer launched its much awaited Android tablet, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 in India. This tablet runs on the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) Operating System. But we have a good news for those, who were eagerly waiting for the Android 3.1 update on the Acer’s amazing Iconia A500 tablet. Acer Germany team recently posted on their Facebook page, that the much awaited Android 3.1 update will be available in Germany from July 5.
Acer Iconia Tab A500 features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display with 1280 X 800 resolution, 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra dual core processor, Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) Operating System, Acer User Interface, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 5 megapixel rear camera with flash, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, HDMI port, USB port, DLNA certified, Dolby Mobile, 3.5mm Audio Jack, Full HD Playback, 16 GB internal memory, 32 GB expandable memory, and a Li-polymer battery with up to 8 hrs back up.
According to the Acer Germany’s Facebook page, the update will be available Over-The-Air (OTA) and the users will be automatically notified on their device as soon as the update is available for their device. Acer have not yet announced the release date of the Android 3.1 update in other countries, but you can expect the update before the end of July.
