Twitter sets up trust and safety council to curb abuse

Twitter has been constantly working towards making the platform safe for its users. Today, the micro blogging site has announced that is it setting up a Twitter Trust and Safety Council to “ensure that people feel safe expressing themselves on Twitter”.

Twitter has announced native video support for Twitter Kit. This means that users will be able to enjoy Twitter videos and GIFs without having to leave their app or launch the Twitter app.

Twitter rebrands favorites as likes, replaces stars with hearts for web and mobile apps

Twitter has changed star icon for favorites to a heart, which is now called likes. Twitter’s Periscope uses hearts since the launch, so it is now bringing it to Twitter and Vine.
