Snapdeal secures $200 million in funding from Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

Snapdeal has received a funding of $200 million Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP), Iron Pillar and other investors. The latest round of funding values the company between $6.5 billion and $7 billion, making it the second-highest valued startup in the country. Flipkart owns the top spot as India’s largest e-commerce company and values at nearly $15 billion.

Microsoft just announced Lumia 650 and Lumia 650 Dual SIM smartphones running Windows 10. These smartphones have a 5-inch HD AMOLED ClearBlack display, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 212 processor, have a 8-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. These have 4G LTE connectivity, have a metal frame and are just 6.9mm thick.

Microsoft teams up with Acer to pre-install its Android apps on phones and tablets

Microsoft has partnered with Acer to pre-load productivity apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive and Skype on select Android smartphones and tablets from Acer. The company said that it will start the pre-installing the apps from second half of 2016.
