It also announced a range of international roaming value packs with unlimited incoming calls and bundled outgoing voice calls, SMS and data to international travelers visiting popular destinations overseas.

Idea Cellular today launched three new Mobile Apps – Idea Music Lounge, Idea Movie Club, and Idea Game Spark under Digital Idea to take on Reliance Jio and Airtel, as it had announced last week.

Swipe Technologies has launched Konnect Grand, the company’s latest budget smartphone. It has a 5-inch FWVGA display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support and 3G connectivity.
Followed by Airtel, Idea Cellular has launched new packs for pre-paid and post-paid customers that offers additional free data for customers with 4G handsets as well as unlimited calls. Idea said that the new initiative will allow customers to avail 12 months free data worth up to Rs. 9,000 on a new 4G handset.
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has questioned Reliance Jio to explain why extension of its free voice and data plan should not be seen as violation of existing regulations requiring promotional offers to be limited to 90 days. Reliance Jio has sought additional time till December 29 to respond to TRAI’s query.
