Blackberry users in India finally has a reason to cheer. Blackberry maker Research In Motion has agreed to give access to its encrypted data to the Indian government from September 1. Earlier the government had imposed a deadline of August 31 asking RIM to provide access to their data or stop their services in India.

Some users on XDA-Developers are reporting that they are able to update the Samsung Galaxy S to Android 2.2 or FroYo through Samsung’s KIES software.
