HTC Sensation XE Specifications and Price


HTC announced HTC Sensation XE, their first HTC phone with Beats audio today. HTC announced its partnership with Beats Electronics last month and promised to launch HTC devices with beats audio. The Clove UK, online retail site has revealed the price and the launch date of the phone for UK. The HTC Sensation XE runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), features 1.5GHz Dual core processor and has extended battery. HTC coming up with it’s own OS?

HTC has been experimenting with the O.S used in it’s devices from a long time, it was the first company to adopt Android O.S, it also came out with devices running Qualcomm’s BREW  and has been running Windows 6.5 from long back, recently they  have also introduced devices running Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7. Now we are hearing that HTC is looking to develop it’s own O.S, is this HTC’s reply to Google buying Motorola  or is HTC worried about future Android upgrades and it’s relation with Google? Reason could also be the recent lawsuit against HTC by Apple on HTC’s  Android devices.

HTC Sensation XE confirmed, will be available this month

A few days back we had reported about a special edition of HTC’s Sensation with beats audio will be coming and now HTC has confirmed this rumor. This will be the first phone to feature Dr. Dre’s beats audio and you can see it’s traces all over the device, as color of the capacitive buttons are now red, also there is a beats audio logo in the back panel.

Nokia announces Car Mode app for in-car entertainment

Nokia just announced via its blog a brand new Qt based application which will make use of MirrorLink technology. The car mode application will be available to all Symbian Belle smartphones alongside the Nokia N9. The application will make it easier for users to access phone functions while driving.

LG Optimus Hub announced, coming in October

LG has announced another phone in the Optimus series, LG Optimus Hub, followed by Optimus Pro and Optimus Net. This phone is previously leaked in the LG road map this July. The LG Optimus Hub is said to be the successor of LG Optimus One, and it has 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen that is much brighter (550 nit). Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash gets announced

US network AT&T has announced three new Windows Phone 7 Mango smartphones, the Samsung Focus S, Samsung Focus Flash and the already announced HTC Titan.

The Samsung Focus S will feature a 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus screen, the same one that can be found on their current Android flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S II. Like the Galaxy S II, it will have a very thin body – measuring just 8.5mm, the same thickness of the Galaxy S II at its thinnest point. The Focus Flash on the other hand will have a smaller 3.7″ Super AMOLED screen. Both of these smartphones will have a 1.4 GHz processor of the single core variety.

Not much is known for either devices though we do know that the Focus S will have a 8MP rear camera and 1.3MP front facing camera. The Focus Flash will have a 5MP rear camera and front facing camera with unspecified resolution.

No pricing has been released, though they are expected to arrive on the fourth quarter of this year. It is unknown if Samsung plans to release these phones worldwide.

BGR has managed to get their hands on a new Blackberry device called the 9790. The device which looks like a lower end version of the Bold 3 ie the 9900 still manages to include a decent feature set while presumably being sold at a mid range price point.
