Speaking on the Chinese social network, Weibo, Huawei Senior Vice President Yu Chengdong confirmed that Huawei is working on a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 competitor. The phone which has been rumored for a while is expected to ship with an absolutely massive 6.1 inch full HD display. The phone has been rumored to be called the Ascend Mate.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (GT-P5100) has got a price cut and is now available for Rs. 25900 from online retailer Saholic. It was announced at MWC 2012 earlier this year and launched in India in July for Rs. 32,900. This is definitely a huge price cut, that would let more customers buy the tablet. Snapseed photo app is finally available for Android. This app would let you transform and enhance your image just like Instagram, which was released for Android earlier this year. Google acquired Snapseed recently, and Vic Gundotra, Senior Vice President teased Snapseed for Android few months back by sharing an image on his Google+ page. The Snapseed app for iPhone and iPad that costed $2.99 till now has gone free and has been updated with new features including built-in Google+ sharing, new Retrolux filter and updated frames filter. The Nexus program from Google has been transforming from a developer focused one to a completely consumer focused one. The message is very clear, Google wants to use its services(Google Play) and the best possible way to use them is by buying their Nexus devices. Starting from the Nexus One, the program has seen many phones, till the Nexus 4(See our unboxing here) a 7 inch tablet made by ASUS, the Nexus 7, but we never got to see a 10 inch one. But then, amidst “Sandy”, Google launched the first 10 inch Nexus device – The Google Nexus 10, made by Samsung. And yes, we have got it in our hands already, after a terrible launch delay. Today, Deutsche Telekom CEO Rene Obermann announced at his company’s analyst day event that T-Mobile USA will begin selling Apple products in 2013. T-Mobile also made the announcement in a press release. The carrier did not mention specific products, but Apple’s iPhone and iPad lineup are the only cellular enable devices offered by the company.
“T-Mobile USA has entered into an agreement with Apple to bring products to market together in 2013,” the release said. T-Mobile is the fourth largest carrier in the U.S., but regardless of its size, the iPhone has not been offered on that carrier to date. In addition, T-Mobile USA will also be offering LTE service for its customers in 2013.
Apple also confirmed to The Loop that it has struck a deal with T-Mobile.
Samsung Galaxy Music Duos (GT-S6012) Dual SIM phone is now available from online retailer Snapdeal in India. It was announced in October and comes with a 3-inch (240×320) display, 850 MHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) that is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) in future. When we reviewed the Xperia S earlier this year, we felt that it was a new start for Sony. Continuing its tradition of good design, packing an excellent display we quite liked the Xperia S. However the pace of the mobile industry is such that it has been far out-specced since its launch. Following the lead of HTC with its One X refresh, Sony too has launched a new updated version of the Xperia S dubbed the Xperia SL.
Not much has changed in the Xperia SL externally as it retains its beautiful hardware. The screen is still quite nice while the processor has been bumped up to a Dual Core Snapdragon S3 processor clocked at 1.7Ghz compared to the 1.5Ghz processor on the Xperia S.
