Kobian has launched the mTAB Star M830G, a new tablet in the mTab series. It has a 7-inch ( 800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touchscreen, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 2-megapixel pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has Dual SIM support, 3G data connectivity and voice calling. KitKat 4.4 runs on over 20% of Android devices, Jelly Bean continues to shrink

Google has revealed Android distribution numbers for the month of August that covers a period of time of 7 days, ending on August 12. The data shows the most recent version of Android KitKat reach an all-time usage high at 20.9 percent, up from 17.9 percent this time last month thereby recording a 3 percent growth.

HTC Butterfly 2 new press shots leaked, reveals Waterproof body

HTC unveiled the J Butterfly (HTL23), the company’s latest smartphone with waterproof body few weeks back in Japan. Now the HTC Butterfly 2 for Asia Pacific markets has been leaked by @Upleaks. This was first leaked by @evleaks back in May and looks similar to the new J Butterfly smartphone. It comes with IP57 ratings for dust and water resistance. Nvidia details the 64-bit Tegra K1 “Denver”, promises PC-class performance

Nvidia announced their latest mobile chipset Tegra K1, sometime in January. This new chip, with its 192 core Kepler GPU was touted to be one of the best when it comes to gaming. We have started to see the results in devices like the Nvidia Shield Tablet and the Xiaomi Mi Pad, but announced alongside the normal 32-bit Quad Core K1 was the Dual Core 64-bit chip codenamed “Denver”. The 64-bit variant has now been detailed by Nvidia, and they say, with its high single core throughput, the chip will be able to offer PC-class performance on mobile, while sipping lesser power than usual. The company has also said that the chip will be ready for Android L, which will make things interesting.
