Google is reportedly working on a low budget Nexus smartphone and has teamed up with Taiwanese chip maker MediaTek for the same, according to a Chinese website MTKSJ. The entry-level Nexus is rumoured to be priced as low as $100 (about Rs 6,000) and hence will fall in the category of lower mid-range phones.

HTC has launched the Desire 210 dual SIM, the company’s latest budget smartphone in India. It has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It was announced back in February and has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with Corning Gorilla glass protection, powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with the new HTC Sense 6.0 UI.
