Acer Iconia A1-713 with 7-inch display and voice calling launched in India for Rs. 12999

Acer has launched the Iconia A1-713, the company’s new Android tablet in India. It was unveiled at the New York event back in April along with the A1-713HD and packs a  7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8382 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera.

It has 3G support via SIM card slot, voice calling and has anodized silver finish.

Announcing the launch, S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India said,

Over the last year, Internet access has received a huge boost and has changed the dynamics of the Indian tablet market significantly. Popularity of the Android ecosystem, coupled with affordable data tariffs and improved reach of service has driven the demand for tablet PCs in the country. Witnessing the growth in demand for this form factor, we introduced a device that offers the functionality of a laptop and the portability of smartphones – the Acer ICONIA A1-713 is an ideal device for customers looking to enjoy mobile entertainment.
