Microsoft has sued Samsung in U.S. District Court, over patent licencing deal. The company claims that the South Korean giant has stopped making royalty payments on time last fall and is refusing to pay interest for the delay.

Acer has launched the Iconia A1-713, the company’s new Android tablet in India. It was unveiled at the New York event back in April along with the A1-713HD and packs a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8382 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat). Motorola is the fourth largest smartphone vendor by shipments in Q2 2014, overtaking Nokia (Microsoft), according to handset sales tracker Canalys. Few months back Motorola announced that it shipped 6.5 million smartphones globally in Q1 2014. According to the report, Motorola shipped 379,310 units of smartphones in India in Q1. The company did not reveal its global shipment data for Q2 yet, but the Canalys report says Motorola has shipped 955,650 units in the Q2 2014. Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen said in an interview back in May that he would bring back the game in August with multiplayer capability. He also said that the game would be less addictive than the original. Now the creator has released a new game, Flappy Birds Family for Amazon Fire TV, an Android box that was unveiled recently. Samsung Gear Live is the company’s first Android Wear smartwatch that has almost similar specifications as its Gear 2 smartwatch that runs on Tizen OS. The Gear Live was announced at the Google I/O in June and it was immediately listed on the Indian Play Store. It went on sale in India last month for Rs. 15,900, but it is currently out of stock.
