Amazon India has made some rather disappointing changes to its return policy for mobile phones. Now, mobile phones that are fulfilled from Amazon India on or after 7th February 2016, will no longer be eligible for refunds.

Reliance Jio LYF Flame 1 budget 4G smartphone launched for Rs. 6490
Reliance Jio introduced Lyf Earth 1, Water 1 and Water 2 smartphones last month. Now the LYF Flame 1, a new 4G smartphone is listed on the official Reliance Digital website (Via). It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 210, SoC, has a 5-megapixel front and rear cameras and dual SIM support. It runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). TRAI supports Net Neutrality, bans differential pricing
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has ruled in favour of Net Neutrality putting an end to a long on-going debate. The authority has announced that “no service provider can offer or charge discriminatory tariffs for data services on the basis of content”. TRAI has ordered the same under ‘Prohibition of Discriminatory Tariffs for Data Services Regulation’.

Qualcomm QPrize Make in India contest announced, awards Rs. 2 Crore for winning startup
Qualcomm Incorporated through Qualcomm Ventures has announced QPrize – Make in India contest in association with the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP). “The goal of this contest is to catalyze Indian entrepreneurs and the startup community to drive the entire value chain from innovation to manufacturing in India. The winner will receive an investment of Rs. 2 crores (approximately US$ 300,000),” said Qualcomm.
OnePlus 2 64GB gets a permanent price cut to $349
OnePlus slashed the price of OnePlus One smartphone permanently by $50 last year. Today the company has announced a $40 permanent price cut for the 64GB variant of the OnePlus 2 smartphone, which is now available for $349. “Additionally anyone who purchased the OnePlus 2 within the last 15 days, will be seeing a refund in price ($40, or the equivalent in your currency) in their account,” said the company. Microsoft and GoPro ink patent licensing deal for file storage tech
Microsoft and GoPro have signed a cross-licensing patent agreement. Microsoft did not disclose the exact term of the deal, but it said that the new collaborative patent licensing agreement is for certain file storage and other system technologies. Since the company launched its IP licensing program in December 2003, it has entered into more than 1,200 licensing agreements with companies like Samsung, ZTE, LG, HTC, Acer, Dell and Motorola Solutions.
