Apple reportedly in talks with Indian Government to manufacture locally

Apple is discussing  its plans to manufacturing its products in India with government officials, according to a latest report from The Wall Street Journal. Airtel has launched 4G LTE services in Assam starting with Dibrugarh & Tinsukia. 4G will be offered using 2300 MHz (TD LTE) band and is available through mobile phones, 4G hotspots and dongles in these towns. Amazon has invested Rs. 2010 crore into its Indian operations, according to a report from the Economic Times. This is said to be the single largest investment made by the US based company. The latest investment that was made in November, takes the total capital invested to over Rs 7,000 crore in the last 12 months.

Lenovo’s ZUK has announced ZUK Edge, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at an event in China, as it had promised. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 86.4% screen-to-body ratio and 1.63mm narrow frame, is powered by Snapdragon 821 SoC and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with ZUI 2.5 on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF + CAF dual focus modes for quick 0.1 second auto focus and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
