OPPO launched its selfie-centric F1s smartphone in India last year for Rs. 17990. We had seen several versions of the smartphone since then, including a Rose Gold version most recently. Even though this has a familiar design as some of the smartphones with a unibody design, there are a lot of components that go into making the device what that might not be revealed on a regular specs sheet. Asus launched Zenfone Go 5.0 (ZC500TG) a few months back, now the Asus Zenfone Go 5.0 LTE (ZB500KL) is available from offline stores in some cities. It was originally launched a few months back and packs a 5-inch HD screen, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC and has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the predecessor, but this has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and runs Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). HTC said to be launching mobile VR headset in 2017

Depending on who you speak to, wearables and in particular smartwatches are a failed category. The pace of fresh launches has slowed down to a trickle and smartwatches just haven’t quite caught the market by storm the way they were expected to. An over-dependence on a paired phone, little use beyond notifications has made these a tough sell. That said, Samsung’s Gear series of Tizen based smartwatches have consistently pushed the envelope in terms of capabilities. We found last year’s Gear S2 to be a surprisingly good smartwatch with some great ideas. With the Gear S3, the company is kicking things up a notch in terms of design and capabilities. Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) officially launched for all on September 5th, 2016. In October the company announced that it signed record 16 million new subscribers in 26 days of its commercial operations, later in November the company said that it has added 50 million subscribers in 83 days. It clocked 72.4 million subscribers as of December 31, 2016.

BlackBerry sues Nokia over patent infringement

BlackBerry has filed a patent infringement suit against Nokia. The Canadian smartphone maker is alleging that Nokia’s mobile products like Flexi Multiradio base stations, radio network controllers, and Liquid Radio software are using its patents. BlackBerry is demanding royalties for these products.
