HTC smartphones with Dual rear cameras to return in 2018

HTC was one of the first movers of the Dual camera technology on smartphones. The HTC EVO 3D was one of the first dual camera smartphones to launch back in the day, but since the poor implementation of 3D, the device never succeeded. However, right after the U11+ launch event, HTC President Chialin Chang speaking  has confirmed that the company would re-enter the dual-camera smartphone space in 2018.

Global smartphone shipments grew 2.7% YoY in Q3 2017, Xiaomi more than doubles its shipments: IDC

Smartphone vendors shipped a total of 373.1 million smartphones worldwide, up 2.7% year over year, and up 7.4% from the second quarter, in the third quarter of 2017 (3Q17), as per the latest  International Data Corporation (IDC). “Despite the annual growth being low, the fact that it is positive leading into the holiday quarter is a sign the industry still has momentum,” said IDC. 2018 iPhone models to rely on same 6P lens design as the iPhone X: KGI

Contrast to the market speculations; Apple is said to be to be using the same 6P lens design even for the 2018 iPhone models according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Apple reports $52.6 billion revenue in FY Q4 2017, India revenue doubles YoY

Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $52.6 billion, up 12% over last year with a net profit of $10.7 billion in their earnings for the financial year Q3 2017 that ended September 30, 2017. Revenues were up 7% year-over-year. Apple reported quarterly earnings per diluted share of $2.07, up 24% from a year ago. During earnings call Tim Cook said that Apple generated revenue growth across all of our product categories and showed all-time record results for its Services business.
