Vivo just launched its V19 smartphone in India as it had promised. It packs a 6.44-inch FULL HD+ Super AMOLED Ultra-O display that houses a 32MP camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM, Copper Tube Liquid Cooling for heat dissipation and features a glass sandwich design. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series known for its value-for-money (VFM) saw another upgrade in March. Apple may be on track to increase India’s local manufacturing revenue to nearly $40 billion over the next 5 years, as a result of the Government of India’s Production Linked Incentive scheme (PLI) for large scale electronics manufacturing. The scheme will be largely availed by two of Apple’s contract manufacturers, namely Winstron and Foxconn.
Qualcomm just announced Snapdragon 768G, the company’s latest mid-range 5G Mobile platform and the successor of the Snapdragon 765G that was introduced back in December last year. This comes with faster Qualcomm Kryo 475 CPU Prime core clock speed up to 2.8 GHz compared to 2.4 GHz in the 765G and also promises up to 15% faster graphics rendering than Snapdragon 765G and support for 120Hz display. Update: Vivo has confirmed the launch of V19 smartphone in India on May 12th, after it has been postponed from the original launch date of March 26th. Even though it was supposed to launch in India first, the smartphone appeared on the global website last month, which confirmed the complete specifications.
