Android 11 Pixel Experience

Pixel Experience is amongst the popular AOSP based custom ROMs that aims towards providing a Pixel-like stock Android experience. It takes a no-bloat approach along with Pixel exclusive goodies to provide users pure vanilla Android experience. A couple of days back, Pixel Experience project developers released Android 11 based beta builds for various devices. We installed Android 11 based Pixel Experience on our POCO F1 unit, and here is our overview and first impression post to walk you through its features and installation procedure.

Global wearables market shipped 125 million units in Q3 2020; growing 35.1% YoY: IDC

According to the IDC, the global wearables market recorded a significant amount of growth during the third quarter of 2020 – 35.1% YoY, totally shipping 125 million units. The growth has been attributed to the many seasonal offers, product launches, and the COVID-19 pandemic. The top 5 companies for the quarter were Apple, Xiaomi, HUAWEI, Samsung, Fitbit and boAt.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro receives FCC certification ahead of announcement [Update: Image]

Update: Thanks to @evleaks, we now have the image of the Buds Pro. This shows an in-ear design compared to bean-like design in the Buds Live, but the case looks similar. OPPO Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G with 64MP quad rear cameras, 65W fast charging, Android 11 to be announced on December 10

After rumours, OPPO today confirmed that it will introduce new Reno5 series of smartphones — Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G in China on December 10th. The company has confirmed 64MP quad rear cameras, Reno Glow 2.0 glitter finish on the back in some colour variants. TENAA certification revealed AMOLED screen for both the phones, and these are expected to come with 90Hz refresh rate. Infinix Zero 8i with 6.85-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, Helio G90T, 8GB RAM, dual front cameras launched in India for Rs. 14999

Infinix just launched Zero 8i, the company’s latest top-end smartphone in India. It has a 6.85-inch FHD+ Dual Pin Hole display that houses a 16-megapixel camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra wide-camera, comes with 90Hz refresh rate and  180Hz touch sampling rate and has 90.1% screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G90T SoC with Multi-dimensional Liquid Cooling Technology which decrease the temperature of the device by 4°C ~ 6°C. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5nm 5G Mobile Platform detailed: Kryo 680 CPUs, 35% faster Adreno 660 GPU, built-in Snapdragon X60 5G modem

After unveiling the Snapdragon 888 yesterday, Qualcomm detailed the Snapdragon 888, the company’s latest 5G Mobile Platform that is built on 5nm process technology from Samsung.  The SoC uses Qualcomm Kryo 680 cores clocked up to 2.84GHz offering up to a 25% improved CPU performance, thanks to new Arm Cortex-X1 prime core. The Qualcomm Adreno 660 GPU offers up to 35% faster graphics rendering and is 20% more power efficient compared to the Snapdragon 865. Here’s when Samsung Galaxy devices will get Android 11 based One UI 3.0 update

Samsung recently started rolling out One UI 3.0 beta update based on Android 11 to range of top-end Note series and S series smartphones bringing new user interface and under the hood changes. Now the company has revealed the update timeline for a range of smartphones through Samsung Members app in Egypt, which starts with the Galaxy S20 series starting from this month. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060Ti Graphics card based on Ampere Architecture announced

It has been three months since NVIDIA announced their 30 series graphics cards based on their new Ampere architecture, revealing three cards, the RTX 3070, the RTX 3080 and the RTX 3080. Yesterday, NVIDIA revealed the next card in the 30 series family, called the GeForce RTX 3060Ti, which NVIDIA claims will have performance rivalling the RTX 2080 Super.

ZTE Blade V2021 5G with 6.52-inch display, Dimensity 720, 48MP triple rear cameras announced

ZTE has officially announced the Blade V2021 5G, the company’s latest budget 5G smartphone in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.52-inch HD+ 60Hz screen, is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 720 with up to 6GB of RAM, runs  MiFavor 10 UI based on Android 10, packs triple rear cameras that includes 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth sensor. OPPO’s upcoming Find X 5G flagship smartphone to feature Snapdragon 888 SoC

Yesterday, mobile CPU manufacturer Qualcomm revealed their newest flagship SoC that will power the smartphones of 2021, called the Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform. OPPO has announced that their upcoming Find X series 5G smartphones will one of the first smartphones to feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC in 2021. Vivo V20 Pro Unboxing and First impressions

5G in smartphones have mostly been available in expensive and premium smartphones till date. That has slowly begun to change as the technology has started to trickle down to mid-range budget smartphones. Now, Vivo has announced their newest smartphone in their V20 range, called the Vivo V20 Pro. The phone is claimed to be the thinnest 5G capable smartphone in India, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which should be a nice upgrade over the Snapdragon 720G in the Vivo V20. The smartphone is launching today, and we have the device in hand, so here are our first impressions and unboxing of the device.
