The report from Bloomberg claims that China spies were able to infiltrate the USA’s biggest tech companies by inserting microchips which is the size of “a grain of rice” into the Chinese-manufactured servers that are a part of the tech giants’ infrastructure. Wi-Fi Alliance today has introduced the Wi-Fi 6 as the industry designation for products and networks that support the next generation of Wi-Fi. It is based on 802.11ax technology and is also a part of the new naming approach by Wi-Fi Alliance that provides users with an easy-to-understand designation for both the Wi-Fi technology supported by their device and used in a connection the device makes with a Wi-Fi network. Adam Mosseri appointed as head of Instagram

After quitting from their positions, Instagram’s Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger announced that Adam Mosseri, current Vice President of Product, will become the head of Instagram starting today. Adam began his career as a designer, managed his own design consultancy, and then joined the Facebook design team in 2008. Apple iOS 12.1 to bring 70 new emojis, beta update brings eSIM support, fixes charging bug

Apple started out seeding the iOS 12.1 beta two for developers and public users who have registered. This update brings more than 70 new emoji to iPhones, group FaceTime with up to 32 and the eSIM support which still needs carrier support to function fully. Reports also suggest that the update has fixed the weird charging bug on few iPhones and iPads. Microsoft, Volkswagen partner to power connected cars

Volkswagen and Microsoft announced that they are partnering to develop the Volkswagen Automotive Cloud, a dedicated global cloud platform that will provide digital mobility services across the automaker’s portfolio. Volkswagen Automotive cloud will be built from the ground up on top of Microsoft’s Azure cloud and IoT Edge platform as its technology foundation.

One of the most anticipated features in the new iPhones of 2018 was Dual SIM support which has been a common feature in most Android smartphones. This feature was leaked in the iOS code base quite a while back, but got unveiled with excellent detail in the Apple keynote. Dual SIM was a feature which was limited to entry level or mid-tier smartphones until recent times when manufacturers like Huawei, Samsung, LG, OnePlus have been including Dual-SIM support even in their flagship smartphones.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 aims to elevate the mobile experience
